The Story

Frida Karadima is a fashion designer and illustrator who was born in Athens in 1974.
In 1993, finishing high school, she made her entrance in the fashion industry next to the Greek fashion designer Philemon, as his junior designer. Their co-operation lasted for 3 years. She then decided to move to Italy in order to continue her studies.
In 1998 she graduated from Milan’s Domus Academy, with master’s degree in Fashion Design. In the following years she worked as a freelance designer for fashion firms in Milan.

A significant stage of her career was the position of designer/product manager for Marzotto Group S.p.A. and Giafranco Ferre’. She worked in the firm for 4 years.

After 8 years abroad, she returned to Athens, opened her atelier and created her own line in woman’s wear. Her first collection was for autumn/winter 2003-2004.

In March 2007 she presents for the first time at the Zappeion Megaron at Hellenic Fashion Designers Association , which was a member, for Athens Fashion week.

Her work continued to be presented in fashion shows in Athens and abroad.

She has participated in several fashion happenings and events, as well as the closing ceremony of “Athens Special Olympics” in 2004 where she designed the outfits of the main presenters.
She has also participated in a several exhibitions as the one at the “Hellenic Cosmos Cultural Center” with the title “Greek Fashion 100 inspirational and creative years” through the Foundation of the Hellenic World.
She has also designed outfits for theatrical plays, tv shows and concerts.

Her basic style and structure of design are outfits that show off the feminine silhouette in an avant-garde but still functional way.Her conceptual patterns highlights the feminine dynamic figure whitch is the fundamental inspirations for her designs.
